I lay in bed
by Marie Kazalia
all afternoon
reading Proust
get up, go to the fridge for some Coke
back in bed, read a little
drink some from the plastic bottle
place it on the floor so it won’t spill
absentmindedly go back to the fridge
grab a bottle of peach Snapple
and a plastic bottle of pure spring water
(or so it said on the label)
both on the floor beside me too
back in bed reading
my lover knocks, I let him in--
he sits in my swivel desk chair
eyes on the 3 bottles on the floor
next to my bed
saying nothing at first
then flips over into his paranoid side
accuses me of having sex with 2 men
last nite--
“why do you say that? I ask
he sorts thru his nose
asks me if I think he’s stupid
says there are 3 drink bottles
next to your bed...implying...
“How do you know it wasn’t 3 women”
I teasingly joked with him
but he was serious--
"But shit, the orgasm was real for me anyway...
by Marie Kazalia
he/she fucked me strapped-on
a hard plastic dildo
sliding on artificially flavored lube
musta caused the latex condom
to pop--
cuz now I’m pregnant
with a plastic baby doll
I’m gonna give up for adoption
to Matell toys incorporated
my breasts full now
with artificial creamer
runny mucus dripping from my nose
into my instant coffee--
artificial sweetener
he/she--my lover--born male---
but after a sex change operation
hadda get our marriage license
outta vending machine
sign with orange crayola
sealed with a Mickey Mouse sticker
his/her orgasm forever locked inside
