Vehicular Homicide
By Richard Morris "It’s really too bad," thought Stella, as she reached in and released the parking brake. She was remembering how it was in the beginning with his low, sexy voice assuring her that everything was perfect as they left for work each morning. She jumped back as he began rolling to the cliff, so slow and easy at first – just like their relationship – then gaining momentum as he neared the precipice. God knows she’d tried, but she was a busy woman. Too busy to give him the attention he craved, until instead of "Good morning, Stella. It is 71 degrees. All systems are a go. Have a lovely day!" it was "I have a low tire, Stella…my air conditioning needs re-charging, Stella…when was the last time you changed my oil, Stella…?" |
