Let there be Light

By Bart Sullivan

And God said, "Let there be light." But the light bulb burnt out as he flipped the switch.  He opened the kitchen pantry to retrieve another bulb, but the box was empty. So, always one step ahead, he borrowed the bulb
from a lamp in the adjacent room and used it in place of the dead bulb.
            "Let there be light!"
Another dead bulb- he should have known. It always seemed to happen this way. He decided to take a trip down South to visit someone he knew might be able to help. After having a few too many cups of tea, God
mentioned to Satan about needing a light bulb.
And so was built another Wal-Mart. The first customer, God, visited to buy light bulbs, but discovered that the store did not sell them.
And so God created protestors. But they were ignored so he created a local television news team.
He then went across the street to the other value shopping center that did sell light bulbs. The cost was very cheap (special discounts for Almighty beings).
He found that the bulbs were the wrong size and wattage though, so he created a hurricane to destroy both stores.
But then God remembered that there was an extra set of light bulbs in his upstairs cabinet, and these bulbs were the correct fit.
And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light, and it was good.
So he sat below the brilliant light to write the story of his day.
